Supporting Babies and Mothers in need, The Love Club (also in its infancy) is a grassroots initiative providing new Baby and Infant clothing to established registered charities in the Greater Toronto Area. We will endeavour to be a conduit assisting organizations who provide crucial support to mothers in need from marginalized sectors of the community. By providing apparel and complimentary items, Mothers can concentrate on the hard work of mothering and focus on the other necessities of life.
We understand that clothing holds both necessity and a sense of pride and dignity. We believe every child and new mother deserves to feel loved, secure, and supported. www.theloveclub.ca
Sewing Club
A new take on the knitting circle! Through our small batch clothing brand Club Kid, thoughtful baby and infant clothing will be created and donated by a network of sewers and fashion students donating their time with fabric generously provided. This exchange of energy by sewers, and the act of creating a tangible product for mothers and babies, is an integral part of our mission- spreading love, comfort, and support to deserving mothers.
Environmentally conscious, we are committed to using end of roll and dead stock fabric that may otherwise be discarded.
Brand Donations
We aim to approach apparel brands both big and small for donations of merchandise that suit both babies and mothers. Aiding in continued circularity of the fashion industry, we welcome end of life seasonal apparel, older stock and samples. We seek to receive, close the loop, or learn what is done with potentially soon to be discarded or shipped merchandise. We will gladly find it deserving homes!
We also endeavour to establish yearly pledges of merchandise or monetary contributions connecting the dots in a better way in a system that needs a refresher.
Monetary Donations
Monetary donations can be made via this form and is made possible by The Veritas Foundation, assisting us in the mission. Donations made will be earmarked for The Love Club.

After the birth of my daughter in December 2023 there was an instant perspective shift. On Christmas Eve when she was four days old, I responded to a post on Facebook seeking newborn diapers and formula for a mother in need. As a brand new mother myself I couldn’t stop thinking of those who may be struggling to feed and clothe their babies and what else I could do to help.
I knew I had the energy and ideas to explore connecting the dots between my contacts in the fashion industry and reaching out to organizations who may be receptive to this initiative. With one phone call at a time, it was evident there was a lot of need out there. Industry friends and advisors have helped the idea evolve into shape, revealing vast potential to be a cause driven community builder that connects clothing and collaboration with those marginalized.
